Skateboard Summer Camps are hosted through Park and Recreation Departments listed above. Each skate session will have anywhere from 5 to 15 youth skaters, ages 6-13, various levels of experience from 1st timers to beginners to intermediates. 3-4 coaches will lead them through an entertaining and educationally outdoor experience.
Daily Sessions are 3-4 hours in duration, and full camp is Monday through Friday. Camp Days will have group games (capture the flag, sharks & minos, and four corners) and a daily specialty activities off the skateboards (art, building, parkour, and photography) and of course, everyone’s favorite, free skate!
Schedules will include a morning skate talk, with group stretches, and warm ups before we get on our boards into smaller level-based groups, rotating through different objects around the skatepark riding with different coaches to focus on each skaters individual goals. There are plenty of water and shade breaks with a snack break and lunch break.
Everyone who attends will receive little goodies along the way and a skate dollar prize at the end of the week.
